Soccer season is upon us, which means practices, games and game day snacks. This will be our 5th year in the soccer world, but only our first year with Jack, our youngest.
Jack has been waiting to play soccer his whole life, literally. He was born just a few weeks before Madison started her first soccer season!
Now it’s finally Jack’s turn, and he couldn’t be more excited (mostly about the snacks)!
Even before his first practice, he had a very clear plan of what he wanted to bring when it was our turn for snack. So, when the snack schedule made it’s way around at the first practice, I made a point to sign up for one of the early games.
Team sports snack tip: Sign up to bring a snack for one of the first games, then sit back and enjoy the rest of the season!

The snack
When it was time to go shopping for the team snack, Jack and I headed to Target. Target has a great deal of their mini water bottles. Since all the boys bring water, and they are only 4 years old, the mini water bottles are definitely the way to go for drinks.
What else was Jack planning for his first snack? Fishy crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars and cuties.
I know this isn’t the healthiest snack after a soccer game, but who am I to crush a 4-year-old boy’s dream?!
To balance it out, I did also pick up grapes and extra mini water bottles for halftime.
To package everything up, I picked up small paper bags with handles.
I like to use bags with handles because after a game, everyone’s hands are always full with soccer balls, chairs, and umbrellas. The bags with handles make it easy for the players to carry their snacks while still helping to carry their ball and water bottle.
To add some cuteness to the bags, I made a printable soccer label and added some ribbon using the team colors.
I printed the labels onto cardstock and used a glue stick to attach them to the bags. You could also print the file onto full sheet label paper.
Want to sprinkle some cuteness onto your own bags? Just let me know below where to send the file, and I’ll email you the free printable!
Good luck this season!
