Happy January Friends!
In my home, January is always a month of de-cluttering and organizing. And as much as I love a simple and clean space my house, it always feels so empty after taking down the Christmas decorations.
So, this year, since January is still considered winter in San Diego, I thought I would incorporate a little light blue with a new throw blanket to add a subtle touch of snowflakes with some wall art.
As I’m sure most of you know, once Christmas has passed, Winter decor is impossible to find.
After searching for snowflake wall art around at my go-to places, such as Home Goods and Hobby Lobby. Unfortunately, I came up empty handed.
So I figured I would design my own!
I wanted something simple, but didn’t want it to look like I had forgotten to take down some of my Christmas decor.
I ended up creating a muted watercolor light blue snowflake, and layered over it with lyrics from one of my favorite movies, The Sound of Music.

The printable comes in two sizes. The 8×10 size can easily be printed at home. The 16×20 size can be inexpensively be printed at Walmart, or any local print shop.
Printing Your Snowflakes that Stay on My Nose and Eyelashes Sign
If you’d like your poster professionally printed, I’ll walk you through the process to order your print online through Wal-Mart.
- Step 1: Head on over to Walmart’s photo center website: www.photos.walmart.com
- Step 2: From the photo center homepage, select posters from the prints menu, then single image. You will be directed to a new screen where you can select your size and paper choice.
- Step 3: After selecting your poster size (16 x 20 in this case) and finish (I like to use matte for posters), it’s time to upload the file from your computer.
- Step 4: Once the file is uploaded, drag it over to the design space. Be sure and select the portrait icon at the top so that it prints vertically.
At this point, you should be ready to order. Simply select “add to cart” and follow the directions from there. Once your order is placed, the poster should be ready for pick up in just a couple of hours.

While the poster was printing, I headed over to Michael’s to find a frame. Michael’s always has amazing deals on frames, and I found an amazing 16 x 20 inch wooden frame that matched our dining room table perfectly.
I never pay full price at Michael’s. If I don’t have a coupon on me, or if what I’m buying is not on sale, I’ll just check my Michael’s app on my phone, which always has coupons available.
The frame I found was 80% off for Presidents Day, plus I had a coupon (on my phone) for 20% off your whole purchase. Luckily, it included sale items. I was able to get the frame, which normally costs $32.99, for under $10!
